POETRY APPRECIATION WEEK: THE ROAD NOT TAKEN BY ROBERT FROST (1874 - 1963)

What's up my fellow martians? How y'all been? It's been a minute since I jotted down my thoughts but I do plan on getting back to dropping jewels in Dru York City. In the meantime, I am going to have a week dedicated to poetry, just to inspire people and also, learn and get inspired too. I know I don't know every poem in the world, therefore, I want y'all to hit me up and suggest the best poems y'all know so I can post them on my blog. I am looking forward to being inspired and exposed to some of the greatest words and poems known to man. Thanks a lot!

First poem of the week is "The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost". Enjoy.


Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
